Hello Substack friends, here's edition 31 of the Book Club Review Weekend – squeaking in at the tail-end of the weekend, for which apologies, we've had guests staying, and I didn't manage to carve out my usual editing time.
This coming week is the countdown to our big family trip to the USA and I'm busy mentally earmarking books as potential plane reads. I am planning on travelling LIGHT (I'm typing it loudly, so my husband hears). One physical book and my kindle, that's it, I swear. Of course the real problem will be all the books I'll come across on my travels and want to bring home. We're in New York for a week, where I'm really excited to be recording in person with my friend Christopher of So Many Damn Books. Then we're off to Seattle where we're catching up with Laura at her brothers' house. After a few days there we're off to Tofino on Vancouver Island.
